Artel Gallery is in the heart of beautifull downtown Pensacola, Florida. Visit us on the first floor of the Old Escambia County Courthouse at 223 Palafox Place (the corner of Palafox and Government St.) between the hours of 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Tuesday – Saturday.

What Makes Artel Gallery So Unique?

 

A not-for-profit corporation run entirely by volunteers, Artel was founded in 1993 to foster appreciation for art in its purest form without concern for commercial marketability.  Its mission is to provide the Northwest Florida region with a continuous forum for quality experimental and contemporary art exhibitions and programs dedicated to the enrichment and education of the community.

 

Whether by challenging artists to interpret themes or by providing educational programs, Artel seeks to evoke a creative response and inpire artists to create work that is innovative and provocative in technique, media and/ or content.  Neither a co-op nor a retail gallery, Artel is an educational institution, the only one of its kind in Northwest Florida.

 

Exhibits

Exhibitions are presented approximately every five to six weeks, including:

• An annual Members’ Show
• Juried shows
• Exhibitions by invitation
• The prestigious Cinco Banderas Competition
