Square Project

The important part first. Thanks to those who helped make this project happen. everyone who completed a square. we hope seeing your square surrounded by others on the gallery wall, as well as on this website, provides a sense of participation and perspective on your contribution to our community. in no particular order, a tremendous amount of thanks to the following people:

- Juan Burgos
- Geraldine Verigaud
- Dickey Hartley
- John Fuqua
- Suzanne, J.O., Don, Lee, Hope, Rick and Pam from Artel
- Susan Flinn
& of course Dolf James and Christina Foard

Inspired by the imagination squared project in Jacksonville, the square project is an effort to involve every member of our community in the act of making art.

With the help of our volunteers, we manufactured more than 300 9″ square blocks and handed them out to any resident of northwest Florida who wished to participate. We asked that you express yourself using the medium of your choice; we received paintings, drawings, poetry/prose, sculptures, mixed-media pieces, and one no words can describe. This project has become the most accurate snapshot of artistic ability in our area. Each piece we received has been hung on the wall as part of a collection, and each member of our community represented equally.
